Monotone Invariant Solutions to Differential Inclusions
Let a given set be endowed with a preference preordering, and consider the problem of finding a solution to the differential inclusion A(OeS(*(O) which remains in the given set and evolves monotonically with respect to the preordering. We give sufficient conditions for the existence of such a trajectory, couched in terms of a notion of tangency developed by Clarke. No smoothness or convexity is...
متن کاملNonconvex Differential Inclusions with Nonlinear Monotone Boundary Conditions
Existence results for problems with monotone nonlinear boundary conditions obtained in the previous publications by the author for functional differential equations are transferred to the case of nonconvex differential inclusions with the help of the selection theorem due to A. Bressan and G. Colombo. The existence of solutions of boundary value problems for differential inclusions with possibl...
متن کاملSlowly Oscillating Solutions for Differential Equations with Strictly Monotone Operator
The authors discuss necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of slowly oscillating solutions for the differential equation u′ + F(u) = h(t) with strictly monotone operator. Particularly, the authors give necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of slowly oscillating solutions for the differential equation u′ +∇Φ(u)= h(t), where∇Φ denotes t...
متن کاملTwin monotone positive solutions to a singular nonlinear third-order differential equation
This paper discusses the existence of at least one or two nondecreasing positive solutions for the following singular nonlinear third-order differential equation x′′′(t)+ λα(t)f (t, x(t)) = 0, a < t < b, x(a)= x′′(a)= x′(b)= 0, where λ > 0 is a parameter, α ∈ C((a, b),R+), f ∈ C([a, b] × (0,+∞),R+), α(t) may be singular at t = a, b and f (t, s) may be singular at s = 0. Green’s function and the...
متن کاملWeak differentiability of solutions to SDEs with semi-monotone drifts
In this work we prove Malliavin differentiability for the solution to an SDE with locally Lipschitz and semi-monotone drift. To prove this formula, we construct a sequence of SDEs with globally Lipschitz drifts and show that the $p$-moments of their Malliavin derivatives are uniformly bounded.
